Extra Training towards the Miami Open Karate 2025
On Saturday, May 24th, Kobushi Dojo Doral invited other schools to a focused interschool practice session designed to prepare our athletes and judges for the upcoming Miami Open Karate Tournament in June.
This was not an official competition, but a valuable exchange of ideas, techniques, and refereeing practice. Students had the chance to sharpen their kumite techniques and tournament etiquette in a safe, supportive environment — while several Senseis used the opportunity to train as referees and judges, applying theory in real-time scenarios.
Events like these help our athletes grow in confidence and give our instructors hands-on experience to better guide them at official events.
Special thanks to:
👏 Kyoshi Carlos Quintero for organizing the event
👏 Shihan Alberto Perez for hosting this event
👏 And all supporting Senseis: Sensei Daniela Marquina, Sensei Sandra Valverde, Sensei Régulo Esteves, Sensei Eurice Hernández, Sensei Antonio Rivero, Sensei Michel Polo, Sensei Gonzalo Figueroa, Senpai Ornella Martinez, Senpai Cristine Figueroa, and all the athletes, parents, and many others who made this a great day of learning and camaraderie.
Let’s keep improving — and we’ll see you at Miami Open Karate 2025! 🥋🔥
