With over 20 years of experience and more than 2,000 students taught, Kobushi Dojo Doral is a family-oriented martial arts school affiliated with the Keishin Kyokai organization under the lineage of Soke Yoshimi Inoue.

Soke Teruo Hayashi
1924 – 2004
Hayashi-Ha Shito-Ryu Kai · Osaka
Born in Nara on 21 October 1924. He came to karate from judo as a boy, training under Kosei Kuniba and briefly with Kenwa Mabuni, the founder of Shito-Ryu. Seeking the art at its source, he went to Okinawa and studied the Shuri and Tomari kata traditions under Shoshin Nagamine and Kenko Nakaima. He led the Seishin-Kai from 1959, and in 1970 founded his own school in Osaka. He died there on 24 September 2004.

Soke Yoshimi Inoue
1946 – 2015
Inoue-Ha Shito-Ryu Keishin-Kai · Tottori
Born in Tottori in 1946. He taught himself from a karate book at fifteen, then went to Osaka to train under Hayashi as an uchi-deshi, a student living inside the dojo, for four years. He returned home in 1968 to care for his family and opened a Hayashi-Ha branch in Tottori. In 2004 he founded Inoue-Ha Shito-Ryu Keishin-Kai. As coach to Japan's national kata team he shaped a generation of world champions, among them Rika Usami, Atsuko Wakai, Mie Nakayama and Antonio Diaz. He died on 1 May 2015.

Kyoshi Carlos Quintero
Karate-Do Shito-Ryu Keishin Kyokai · Doral
8th Dan, and a direct inheritor of the Inoue line. He founded Kobushi Dojo Doral in 2002 and has taught here without interruption since. On 25 October 2025 he was installed as the first Kyoshi of Keishin Kyokai, the association formed to carry Soke Inoue's teaching forward. Its name keeps his characters: 慶心, Keishin.

We are open Monday to Saturday. We are flexible with schedules, especially for families. Stop by and we can evaluate options for you.

2 Weeks Trial
Try our dojo for 2 full consecutive weeks. We are sure that you will like it.
